Designed to meet the demanding needs of engineering, inspection, and reverse engineering, the Creality Sermoon X1 combines high measurement accuracy with multiple specialized scanning modes. Its wireless design makes it easier to move around parts, while its all-metal industrial construction promotes stable and reliable capture during extended work sessions.
The Sermoon X1 offers volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.04 mm/m to meet the 3D measurement requirements of the manufacturing industry. Its integrated photogrammetry system, accompanied by two scale bars, allows the scanner to automatically correct dimensional accuracy during reconstruction and achieve volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.03 mm/m. This configuration is particularly suited for inspection, restoration, and engineering work where dimensional accuracy is essential.
Its hybrid optical system combines 34 cross blue laser lines for quickly capturing the geometry of large parts, 7 parallel lines for capturing intricate details, and a single laser line designed for deep holes and hard-to-reach areas. The latter can scan openings with a depth-to-diameter ratio of up to 6:1. A near-infrared structured light mode completes the system for efficiently modelling medium or large objects without markers.
The scanner reaches a frame rate of up to 90 frames per second with the parallel-line or single-line modes and up to 70 frames per second with the cross-line mode. Its expanded scanning field covers more surface area with each pass and requires up to 17.36% fewer markers per unit of area, helping make the acquisition process faster and smoother.
The Sermoon X1 can scan black or metallic surfaces without requiring scanning spray to be applied beforehand. Its laser modes are also designed for outdoor operation: the single-line and 7-line modes support ambient light levels below 50,000 lux, while the 34 cross-line mode can be used in lighting conditions below 100,000 lux.
A 2 MP colour RGB camera, Qualcomm image processor, and auxiliary lighting capture the object's colours and textures during scanning. The resulting models can reproduce not only the shape of the part but also its visual appearance for a more complete rendering.
Its 5,000 mAh battery provides more than four hours of operating time, making it easier to scan large parts or complete extended jobs. It includes a USB-C interface and battery level indicator. The ergonomic handle, safety wrist strap, and compact carrying case also make transportation and field work more convenient.
The optoelectronic support and lens holder are integrated into a CNC-machined, all-metal unibody structure. An AI-assisted temperature compensation algorithm, combined with a thermal management system, helps maintain stable results during extended scanning sessions.
CrealityScan 4.0 software complements the scanner with AI-assisted image and point-cloud processing tools. The resulting data can be integrated into workflows for inspection, design, and 3D printing.
